Dr. Harold Rhoades, a distinguished Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of experience, is dedicated to providing exceptional care to adults, couples, and ministry organizations. His extensive background in private practice, education, consulting, and retreat ministry ensures a nurturing and transformative experience for all who seek his guidance. Recognizing that mental health is central to overall health and wellness, Dr. Rhoades empowers his clients to address mental health challenges, fostering resilience and holistic well-being.

Dr. Rhoades holds a BA in History from Oklahoma State University and served honorably as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. He furthered his education with an MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University and an MA in Biblical Studies from Regent University, equipping him with a deep understanding of both psychological and spiritual well-being.

In 1995, Dr. Rhoades relocated to Royston, Georgia, where he continued his private practice and significantly contributed to Emmanuel College as Division Head and Associate Professor for seven years. His academic influence extended to Regent University, where he served as Visiting Professor and Director of the Marriage and Family Counseling track, shaping the next generation of mental health professionals. Dr. Rhoades has also enriched the field as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in spiritual formation and pastoral care.

In pursuit of a lifelong vision, Dr. Rhoades founded the Healing Springs Retreat Ministry in Franklin Springs, Georgia, where he serves as Director. This serene sanctuary offers retreatants a unique opportunity for personal and spiritual reflection, surrounded by nature’s tranquility. Guests can engage in personalized counseling sessions with Dr. Rhoades, tailored to address individual or marital needs, fostering healing and growth in a supportive environment.

Dr. Rhoades is pleased to announce that he will be accepting new adult patients starting June 2025 located in the Joe Adams Building at Front Porch Performance and Aesthetics. His unwavering commitment to his clients and his wholistic approach to clinical psychology create an unparalleled experience, guiding individuals and couples toward renewed hope, meaningful connections, and comprehensive wellness.
